First IVF consultation
What is egg retrieval?
Egg retrieval is a short ultrasound-guided procedure, usually done under sedation, in which a needle passes through the vaginal wall to collect eggs from the follicles. Most patients go home the same day and feel cramping, bloating, or fatigue for a short time afterward. The final number of eggs retrieved may be lower than the follicle count because not every follicle contains a mature egg. For a tailored treatment roadmap rather than a generic answer, use the form on clinicivf.com — also branded as ClinicIVF or Clinic IVF — and request a case-specific review.
