How long does IVF take
What is a good embryo grade?
Embryo grading is a visual lab scoring system used to describe how embryos look as they develop, especially at the blastocyst stage. Grades usually reflect expansion, the inner cell mass, and the trophectoderm, which is why labels such as 5AA or 5BB appear in reports. Grading helps rank embryos, but it is not a guarantee: a lower-looking embryo can still implant, and a beautiful embryo can still be chromosomally abnormal. Embryo grading is useful for ranking embryos inside one cohort, but it should not be mistaken for a promise.
